Dendrobium cuthbertsonii blooming outside in Miami
Dendrobium cuthbertsonii orange x bicolor - another very special post, I have never believed I will be able to grow, and on the top to bloom cuthbie in Miami. It took some extended search, and finding the plant from grower in California that did grow this Dendro up to 85F and up to 35F. It is outside since I got it early October, in December it started 3 buds, that are finally opening today! Mounted, misted daily, regular fertilizing, bright light but not direct sunlight. This warms me up in our totally shitty horrible utterly dreadful disgusting fking weather today and tomorrow! ENJOY!

I will take your weather any day over 2 degrees F.
ANyway, I love the blooms and the plant looks healthy too. I had one and it bloomed about a year ago. However soon afterwards its withered away slowly and died. I was keeping it in my terrarium though, not potted. I think I might have kept it too moist.

I do believe that the plants know they're coming to your house AND it's in Miami! Failure is not an option!

Beautiful flowers with yummy colors....some of my Dendrobiums have also bloomed....but I had to run up to the roof and do the photo-shoot in a couple of minutes before the orchids know they are exposed to frost of 2 degrees F....
