If you need to replace it, try J&L. They have a very good reputation and nice plants.

That vendor is either liar or in need of some education.

First off, Dendrobium Microchip is a primary hybrid of the Latouria group, which is evergreen.
They do not need winter rest! I grow them very succefully. so trust me! They are active year around.
no rest. plus, they need lots of water or easily develop those wrinkles on the canes.

If your dendrobium has good roots, then wrinkles themselves won't hurt the plant, but just unsightly.
Soak the plant well and do this a few times.
Then your plant should be alright.

Plus, even dendrobiums that does take distinct winter rest, I laugh when people say no water from November to Valentines. It is just non sense and plant cruelty! lol

Please know that in nature, during this "rest" period, these plants (one that takes rest) get plenty of water on a daily basis in the form of early morning due and heavy fog.

I hope your plant will return and grow happily.

Thank you so much for that info! That said, this little orchid is so shriveled, I'm sure it's hopeless. And the seller hasn't responded to my msg about this. Don't really care too much about a refund~ but an apology would be decent 😒

I'm sorry about your bad experience. maybe you could post a photo? I know this isn't exactly the same, but my sick seedling Catts are bouncing back. I've done nothing but neglect them! They're incredibly shriveled, but the two bigger ones have put out new root tips. You'd be surprised what orchids will put up with. If it were me, I'd try to save it!

Have you tried watering it? sorry if you've answered this.
I would definitely contact them, and since it's eBay, maybe you could send them a link on how to properly take care of a Den. Micro chip so they do not think you're making it up.

Orchids with pseudobulbs like dendrobiums often sprout from what appears to look like a dead mess unless you are absolutely sure it is dead.
So you can still keep it if you have patience to nurture it back to life.
Or get a new one after threatening the vendor. hahaha
