Default Dendrobium goldschmidtianum (miyakei) x sib ('T3' x 'Hsinying')

This is a warm growing orchid plant; goldschmidtianum is endemic to the Philippines and this hybrid produce densely clustered, spreading to pendent, magenta blooms. The simple lip has dark veins and flowers are long-lasting with a slight scent of talcum powder.
I inherited this in a large basket from a grower in Miami who was discarding some of his collections. I did not change the way it is mounted since I know it came from a reputable source.
I follow the Baker Dendrobium culture and this is hanging on my south facing window in the cold months and in summer it is outdoors. I give this K-lite fertilizer with seaweed mix but this winter, I hold fertilizer and since I water this every day in summer=this winter I water it only once a week.

OMG I would have been afraid to take this beauty outside in this weather for the photo op? Hopefully you didn't blast any buds or lose any blooms - it is gorgeous.

I for some reason thought that it needed a cold dry rest. Good to know.
