Default Den. normanbyense

This little thing is still with me, despite neglect and general mistreatment. It seems very easy to care for. The pictures are from its second blooming since I got it (I've had it for...eh...some time, which I can't remember), where it got two spikes, the first with four flowers (the pictures), and the second with three. It's in spike again, but with five (!) spikes this time.

I love this little Den. and I'm so happy I managed to get a hold of one.

Very cool and exotic looking! Sounds like it must get some good care!

I highly recommend it, you won't regret it. I never thought it would be such an easy grower or bloomer as it has turned out to be.

I'll second that this plant is ridiculously easy to grow. I'd have to say it's just as easy as Dendrobium kingianum. Practically almost un-killable.

I discovered two more spikes on this little guy, today. Don't know if they'll develop into something more than just a promise. If they do, it'll have seven spikes this time around...

Love it.

Where could I order this? I am new to our purchasing anything other than what's readily available are the local nursery, grocery store or Home Depot....

Specialty orchid nurseries that deal only with species orchids or nurseries that deal primarily with species orchids.

Try doing a search for Canadian specialty orchid nurseries.

I have a Den Micro Chip, a cross of Den. normanbyense and aberrans, and it is a nice, small compact plant. How tall is your normanbyense? Den. Micro Chip is also a very easy grower. Oh, and is it fragrant?
