I got this... uh... sometime within the last year. I forget exactly.
The flowers are extremely long lasting. Mine stayed in bloom after purchase for 5 months. Then the spike got knocked off. Which lasted another month in a vase.
This is my first rebloom. The new cane is twice the height of the previous one. 2 feet!
But the growth habit is very upright and narrow so I find it really doesn't take up much room.
This spike survived our record breaking heatwave. But that had a big effect on the flower count.
Only 5.
Light powdery vanilla scent.

My photo does it no justice.
It's not a species. It's a hybrid, and i have no idea what's in it lol.

Mine never had any scent.
Flowers do last for a very long time on this plant.
Mine lasted good 7 months. then another spray of flowers will begin, so I had it in bloom year around basically.
Unfortunately, I got rid of the plant due to space challenge. oh, well...

It is a rather tall plant.
That's a shame about the scent though. I rather like the scent on mine.
It's not strong, but pleasant.
Hopefully the next cane really puts on a show for me.

Maybe yours got fragrance in place of flower count?
Give a lot of light and see if that helps boost the flower count.
Mine had about a dozen per spike.

It had a high flower count when I bought it lol.
And it's in a very sunny spot.
What happened is that we reached 115 degrees while the spike was developing and it was not happy.
The spike stopped developing and it dropped two buds.

I see! Do you have it outside??

I occasionally see this one at TJ but the quality is horrible usually. lol

I bought mine at a store in flower district years ago.
They no longer carry these, or I haven't seen it since.

No. It resides in my bedroom window. South and West facing. It gets light pretty much from sunup to sundown.

I've only seen it for sale once at my Trader Joe's. And I bought it lol.
We have no flower markets here sadly.
