Default noid phal-den in bloom

I adopted this noid phal-den last year. Took awhile, just so happy to finally see the hidden beauty! It maybe a noid but still feels like jackpot for me!

Really pretty!

We usually say Den Phal, rather than Phal-Den. These are Dendrobiums which early discoverers thought looked like Phalaenopsis so named one of the species Dendrobium phalaenopsis (small p indicating species).

It causes some confusion here as people think they are crosses between Phalaenopsis and Dendrobium, but as far as I know such a cross has never been made/is not possible.

More recently the species has been renamed with the Australian name of Dendrobium bigibbum, but the group of similar Dens is still known as the Phalanthe group and they are commonly known as Den Phals.
