I live in socal and I manage to grow these dens. Phal just fine. I grow them indoor sitting by south-east facing windows. I had one just finish bloom and putting out spikes on the old cane and the new cane. During summer, I had to water them daily, with triple digits lately, I water them twice a day. They grow very well, i almost kill them when we have our first tripple digit last month with no shades, they were badly burn...yet still survive and put out spikes.
