Hi Sony, wonderful color your Vicky! Do you grow it in cool or intermediate? Especially for winter rest. I've got it from March, so I'm organizin for the winter disposition.

Beautiful! I just love the color!

I have a teeny tiny one that just finished blooming with a single flower. That little thing cheered me up for quite a while I had to send a picture of it to my son because he was living home at the time I got it and when I unwrapped it from the shipping box he took one look at it and said "Mom, I think you had better name that one Trouble" It was the saddest looking thing I have ever seen with its two scrawny dead-looking canes and just the barest sign of new growth. So...I cannot say it has been too fussy for me, either.

Some day I hope mine will be as beautiful as yours!!!! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you!
Mine grows outdoors year-round, so in winter gets cold night temps, cool to intermediate day temps. These don't take a "rest", tho can grow slightly drier in winter, but shouldn't be staying completely dry for long periods. I don't know if cool temps are necessary for blooming, or not ... I've never read anything that mentions it.

Gorgeous have always loved the name too - seem to describe the flowers perfectly. Meow to kitty Jack.

Thank you!

The first couple of years that I had mine, it only eeked out 1 or 2 flowers. The next year was a little better, then, with more growth on the plant, it really started to bloom nicely, especially with the keikis left on the patent

Ah - thanks for the info! Mine definitely gets colder than 50 (at night in winter), tho day temps are seldom that low.

Sorry yours didn't bloom this year

Should you decide to try again - not too much sun (a little morning and/or late sun), likes evenly moist potting media - no winter rest, but can be allowed to become slightly dry in-between waterings in winter.
Gorgeous blooms!

I thought it did want a winter rest? I nearly killed mine in trying to provide it!!

It seems to be pretty hardy, I was about to toss mine when I noticed a ton of little shoots! So I would definitely try again.
