Dendrobium Janya ukon x Janya maloness blooms

My Dendrobium Janya 'Ukon' x Janya 'Maloness' has bloomed, despite a fairly recent brutal repotting (http://www.orchidboard.com/community...endrobium.html).

The lightly sweet-smelling blooms are soft and the color is subtle.

Do you think the poor thing is confused? Should it be blooming in fall? Should I take the blooms to suggest that it thinks it is spring and fertilize/water more?
