Does anyone have this plant? Den Bohemian Rhapsody (Aphyllum x Loddigessi) I have had it for two years and can't get it to bloom. It is healthy and is a young 4 growth plant but I do believe it is bloom size now.

Good luck! The only Dendrobiums I have been successful with is an oligophyllum and den phals. I have an aggregatum that never blooms. :|

What size is that pot? 2.5"? If so, you are a couple of years away at least.

I believe that the loddigessii is also know as the Thunderstorm orchid. It blooms when the warm temperatures suddenly drop (like when a thunderstorm rolls in).

Try an environment that offers a 20 degree temperature drop in one day, or just put it in a cooler environment for a couple of days.

LovePhals, both aphyllum and loddigesii bloom in the spring following a cool/cold and somewhat dry winter rest. They also normally shed some or all of their leaves in fall and winter so don't get too concerned if you see that happening. Hard to say whether your plant is large enough to bloom in the spring, it looks a little on the small side for the aphyllum parent but is definitely BS for loddigesii. Should be nice whenever it decides to bloom!
