Here is my Hibiki blooming today in August 2016. It is still growing in its original wood basket. The plant still has buds that have not yet opened. H&R Nurseries has another variety of Den. Hibiki for sale which is very similar. The flowers are very hardy and will last for months.

Lovely😊

I had one, a small one- and it was just adorable. I killed it. I'm still mad at myself for doing that, and I'm gonna get a new one- when I get the opportunity.

Yours are really nice, and what a big plant👍🏻 Love it, thanks for updating😊

How would you manage to kill it? Mine grows just fine all by itself...long periods of forgetting to water it. It likes it just as well when I keep it kinda damp. The blooms just last forever, mine started opening in January and are just now fading (the same cycle I've had for three years). It just seems indestructible. Considering that I felt most dendrobiums didn't like me....I'm really happy with this plant.

Oh my!!!
It is gorgeous!!!!!!!!!! It also reminds me of the one I have that I have been calling sulawesii.

Do you think it might be the same?

That DOES look like sulawesii, with it's laevifolium like blooms and arching stems.
No, despite being in the same group, the culture of the two is (to me) quite different. D. bracteosum prefers to grow on the drier side (or so it seems to me), where sulawesii (and laevifolium) prefer to not dry out. I killed my last laevifolium after 2.5 yrs...by letting it get excessively dry.
I guess you could say they're kissing cousins
