How to cut off kiekies??

I have a young den. Kinganium growing in S/H. It immediately got acclimated to the medium, and also very quickly started making kiekies. (I'm sure I'm spelling it wrong) The roots on the kiekies are about 1/4 on an inch long. I need some info on cutting them off the main stalk-and can I just put them in moss to get the babies going? I have to say that I would rather it be flowering than making all these babies.

If left on the parent, the keikis can bloom the coming bloom season. I leave them the parent 2-3 years - makes for a wonderful display when blooming.

If you would rather remove them, wait until they have at least 3" of roots - tho more it's better. I just twist them off. Fine bark mix works for potting them; sphag should also be ok.

Im kinda in same boat, but not actually making a cut, the parentkeeps dropping the sets of keikis like hot stones. Something that im not familiar with is the kind of medium and additives for these guys and what ratioswould iuse.
ie: 1 sphag/1lava/1perlite/1peat.
Do you have recipe I may follow, I need to repotmy Dendros..
Oh one other thing is, HOW DO I GET THEM TO STOP THE KEIKIS FOR NOW? I have a 2 in, 3 stalk king. Each stalk keeps producing them, w7thout any cane growth.

I have my kingi potted in a combination of perlite and pumice (they're lithophytes) But I do know that people grow them in bark mix. Keikis maybe in sphag ...

They can be keiki machines. How long have you had yours? Has it bloomed? They want bright light while growing, and some cool temps in fall-winter to bloom. Excessive keikis without blooming may indicate a culture issue.

When I purchased it in April this year it was on tail end of blooms (2 left) but had a Kiki. It has since grown three more and yesterday dropped one. The one(no name as of yet, just severed itself right where i was going make the cut, and then was just hanging in the air, no broken roots nothing. I just didn't know what kinda mix to use as I do not have enough left to do a mass repotting on All( I usually get the Imperial dark dendro mix from Repotme, great mixes if you ask me)of the planet in one to drop so I threw it in some sphagnum Moss for time being. It is quite unsightly right now because it's got one great cane pointing 45 deg one way and other(not yet a cane, just a pointy nub.) i'm driving now so I have to get off the phone more later.

What I was referring to earlier in the thread is that I purchased a Dendro kingn on eBay in late march. It was a tiny little thing (2in or so) with 3 canes. Rootball was a sq mass as it was in a tiny sq pot, I planted it in moss and contacted Repotme for advice. I purchased the Dendro mini seedling mix and potted,no blooms yet. It also got the name 'Baby Dendo' cause he has not grown a bit, but keikis yes. Since then I've picked up about six more different sized Dendros (Couple of nobles in there) And have all outside getting the bright lite they can take. Tons of growth but no blooms, but we haven't had night below 65 degree. My apologies for getting back to it so late. Off to set up for yard sale

It's a bit unusual for Keikis (unless they are quite big) to just fall off, tho I have had one come off in strong wind.
It's not likely to bloom this time of year - tho they do sometimes get some out of season blooms.

Pot them in what ever is convenient. Or, toss 'em.
