Default dendrobium lawesii

by all accts of what Ive read about this plant it should not be growing much less blooming too. last year from 1 cane had 1o flowers. This year the buds moved down that cane and gave me 2 pods and bout 18 buds. 2 more canes budded out and started to open this week. This is going to take a long time.

The plant should have been grown mounted so the canes can hang like they do in the woods. These r found in low light full shade hanging from the lower branches. I can see why they flowers wont reach their full potential bec they are hanging the wrong way. Im goin to mount it when its done blooming. There hardly ne media in the pot just roots for the most part.

9 canes strong

Stunning! How do you grow the plant? I've tried many times and doesn't do well

thanks

...it has been grown as of this past year is from a very hot summer with full sun all day shaded @70%. temps ranged from a high of 104f to winter lows down to 40f. kept moist during the heat n mostly dry all winter. had some bark around the roots but not much of it left. just roots in a pot. it is grown in a greenhouse and gets plenty of humidity and moisture. too much in the winter...it was hard to keep it dry. it might bloom out and look better I am hoping.

always hoping for a better flower leads to hoping for more and better flowers
