Thanks Paul. I could not have explained it better. This is a photo of the plant today. The flowers are past their prime but the photo shows the plant in its entirety. The longest stem is more than 40 inches long. The new growth is at the top. After the flowers all drop, I'll be cutting the old canes and try to produce some keikis (plantlets) to share with others. This plant came from Japan.
