Dendrobium kingianum var album
Earlier in the year I posted pictures of one of the keikis of this in flower. Now the parent plant is in flower... well, sort of... actually the parent is covered with keikis still attached and it is all of those which are flowering, it's like that every year.
Very straggly looking plant, but I love the flowers.

Its like birds in flight. It gave you a magnificent display of blooms. I have the same kind of plant that did gave me but a few flowers that gave me the chance to gather all keikis and make a new pot.

Thanks Bud.
I'm hoping once I remove the keikis it will be less straggly, and maybe even the parent will bloom for it's self next year. Sonya told me her's always blooms off keikis as well though, so manybe not

Lovely!
Yes, mine blooms from the parent and keikis.
I wonder if you should try more light ... ? Mine gets a pretty good amount in summer, at least (all morning). More than my bigibbum - tho my bigibbum is the v compactum, which perhaps maybe gets by with less light than the standard

Thanks Sonya. I might try this outside as the weather get's warmer. I can give it more light in various garden spots than I can in the greenhouse.

Lovely! I have the non-alba form and also have numerous keikis. I was told that the keikis are due to insufficient light. So I have now hung the pot close to the top of my sun room in the hope this is sufficient. Otherwise, I'll live with the keikis
More light also means shorter inflorescence and denser flowers which from a judging perspective is desirable. Some of the award winners I've seen are do densely covered with flowers that you cannot see the plants and the canes are straight and tall. On the other hand, I saw am amazing specimen plant that was like a handing basket from the multiple generations of keikis all in bloom. It also was an award winner.
Regardless, it's beautiful!
