Now you know better.
People in the pacific coast area report their nobile hybrids sometimes flower in the summer.
It probably has to do the cool weather there.
Certain varieties are quite sensitive to temperature drop even just by little bit and it will pop up few flowers at odd times.
Also, stop fertilizing after about late July.
I only fertilize my nobile hybrids in the early stage of growth, which is like now for mine. then I just water and water.

Bloom Shot
So some of the flowers has been open for a couple of days now and they are just adorable.
Flowers are much smaller than Yamamoto hybrids, but the coloring is so eye-catching.
There is a light sweet/spicy scent during the day time.
I feel so rewarded about trying so hard in getting rid of mealy bugs on this plant last year instead of just tossing.

July is when I stopped watering last summer. You are right about the temperature causing the bloom in the middle of summer. Our day temperatures can be very hot [40c sometimes] but it gradually cools to 11c or so at night. I have seen it go as low as 7c in July. Our heat waves are usually for just a few hours in the afternoon and it cools for sleeping. The orchids love this, though I sometimes wonder if it is a little cooler than some of them like it.

Yep, that low night temperature will do it.
The cooler night you have there is definitely ideal for some orchids that need such drop at night in the summer, but will not benefit others.
Where nobiles grow in nature for example, the summer is hot as h... in the summer night and day, night being a little cooler than the night.

They should love it here then. I'm determined to get good bloom next spring. I have had this one for about 8 years and have never had more that a few flowers. When I bring it inside, I give it the coolest, brightest window I have until it blooms.

The whole plant shot
I forgot to post this one.
The flowers are beginning to fade.
Very short living bloom for dendrobiums I have.
