Thought you guys might get a thrill from my warm tank (first pic) and my cool tank (second pic) of miniatures. The warm tank has 'caterpillar' leaved orchids and the cool tank with some dendrobiums (prenticei, torresae, phyllodes, dichaedoides) plus pleurothallis and a bunch of scaposepalums...

Wow Leslie, what a real treat! Okay, if your Neofinetia are in your living room, where do you keep these awe-inspiring tanks?

Hey thanks Matt. The neos are by the windows and the tanks are on the wall opposite. These tanks have been maturing for about 12 years... I love growing the moss in the cool tank

Default Dendrobium Species Acquisition

At last my very large order of new orchids arrived from Tropical Orchid Farms from Hawaii came to day. Here are the three Dendrobium I mentioned I ordered 05/04/14:

Dendrobium loddigesii: the plant looks like it is in two parts, part one is at the end of long cane and looks like keiki. The other part is clustered around the pot. I'm wondering if I should later cut the keiki off and have a second plant? What would you suggest?

Dendrobium toressae. This is mounted on a three inch tree fern plate. From end to end it entire plant is a little wider than three inches. The leaves are very small and thick. Lovely plant.

Dendrobium aberrans. This plant looks like my other Dendrobium but very small.

Here are the three plants so you can see how large err how small they are.
