My Dendrobium flexile started blooming 08/03/14.

It has a nice, subtle, ubiquitous orchid scent.

The flowers are nice but I like the foliage even better than the flowers. Dens are good for that!

I have a Den mahlbrownii that has nice little flowers and it pops them a couple of times a year but if it weren't for the foliage (and the hope for a huge flush of blooms one day!) I'd probably get rid of the plant.

Hi Katrina. I agree with you...I picked this plant and all of the other Dendrobium in this thread, not for their flower but for their format and presentation. This is from my experience with Neofinetia falcata. Flowers are a bonus. Flowers tell me I'm growing my plants good enough that they would bloom in my care.

I say that but having flowers is cool!

I hear ya! I have several that I got for the foliage...the flowers were only secondary considerations. I'm especially fond of anything w/terete leaves.
