Dendrobium 'Happy Lady" from Yamamoto in bloom
I'm on the cloud 9 with this one. The blooms are much smaller than on my first blooming nobile one, but the first produced only 3 buds and the rest were keikis, this one has the cane full of buds, and some more nobs growing, so will see. I did follow what was recommended, stopped fertilizing in September, stop totally watering in December, it may got few showers with the heavy rain. This years cold fronts surely helped to produce so many buds! Still have 2 more nobile Dednros waiting to do anything:-) Enjoy!

Yummy colors....this is a lovely orchid flower, you are discovering that a proper winter rest will give you beautiful flowers...now you must give it enough water and fertilizer on its growth period to gain enough energy for more flowers next blooming cycle.

Many thanks Bud, I sure will do so, I did get this one last June, so it was fed and watered abundantly through out the whole summer, my canes were really "fat" which gave them enough strength for the dry winter rest:-) They did not even shrink for the whole non watering period:-)

I'd be over the moon. It looks like a plant that Dr. Suess would have created.

Beautiful, Tommy! Many of these hybrids are a little garish to my eye but this one is really elegant. Is it fragrant?
