Dendrobium Oda Berry - a few issues

Hello everyone. This is my first post on orchid board having just joined.
I bought a Dendrobium Oda Berry a couple of years ago and it seems to be flagging somewhat. It did fine the first year with lots of flowers and vibrant green leaves.
Last year it flowered again but less so.
This year its done nothing and leaves are yellowing and dropping.
It had been on a north facing windowsill beside a large window which was fairly cold over winter, perhaps too cold ?
My dad re-potted the plant, though it seems like he used a mix of soil and bark and the pot is quite large. Would this be better being a smaller pot with just bark ?
Also, the plant (when it was healthy) kept producing new stems off the top of the old ones and growing masses of roots around the base of the new growth, what should I do with these ?
A couple of hints or tips would be very welcome to bring the plant back to its former glory.

Dendrobiums do best in small pots. Don't do soil, all bark is better; I have also seen them grown in pure spaghnum, spaghnum/bark mix as well as in pots with just small rocks (requiring more watering during growing season).

This is a kingianum hybrid, so it requires a cool/dry period from late Oct thru Jan to bloom well. Rest of the year intermediate temps and regular watering, with occasional light feeding.

North facing window might be slightly too low light.
