Dockrillia linguiforme stalks!

Hello fellow orchites!

My first ever orchid to flower will be the Tongue Orchid!

I saw "sticks" poking out from behind the leaves and almost snapped them off BUT then i realised they were the flower stalks! Very excited!

Although, i thought they would flower in spring, like most native dendrobiums/native orchids of north QLD. What time of the year do yours flower?

This might be a silly question but what season is fall?
I live in Aussie and i know that "fall" is not summer haha

Lol. Fall (aka autumn) technically started yesterday, bit hard to tell here in the tropics though

It is summer everyday up here, but the winter is a bit cooler It is good that our orchids grow well though

Oh I wish I will visit cairns again sometime.... We had a great time there and further north, camping at cape tribulation...
