Help with nobile

Love Memory 'Fizz' is doing ok,but I'm not sure of the watering of this right now. It has lots going on, ...new flower buds, flowers [a couple] , and new growth.
Do I cut back on the water, or continue to let it go fairly dry?





Its my first nobile type, and I'd like to get a couple more .

Buds, flowers, growing - water and fertilize! The water reduction and withholding of fertilizer is to initiate spikes.

Tomorrow morning, she will get some rainwater [snowmelt] with fert. Thanks so much

Also, this is puzzling to me, I have seen this same plant [looks the same] referred to as Love Memory 'Fit or Flt' . Is this a typo, or is that a different plant ? Just curious

Y'know ... I have seen both 'Fizz' and 'Fit' as well - I don't know if they are different cultivars, or if there was a typo somewhere ...

Maybe someone else will know, or may be able to check Orchid Wiz

Time to water a lot. Once you see buds, then you water normally. Many people tend to keep this too dry.

About the name, it is a typo.

The correct name is Love Memory 'Fizz'.
One of my favorites from Yamamoto Dendrobiums.

Thank you both Watered it this morning , and its looking happy I went to Yamamoto's site and got sick with wanting! Oriental Smile, making me the sickest The Edmonton show is not far away, thank goodness.

By the way, Oriental Smile "Fantasy" is also among my favorites.

I have bought a few over the years, but I only kept the very first one I bought which has the best coloring. It is done with blooming for weeks now and been growing two new shoots.

I wish I had lots of space that also gets cooling so I could have lots of these nobile hybrids. my dream!! then I could also have large cymbidiums as well. oh, well...too much dreaming! haha

My three cyms are in the basement , under T5s, but are not enjoying it as much as outside . Oh well, spring is around the corner, and then out they go

Oriental Smile 'Fantasy' is the one I'm aiming for at the show. Also, there is a spectabile that I'd really like to have as well Sure hope they have these two, and a few others on the 'must have' list!

You probably could have asked vendors to bring certain plants so you have what you want for sure.

D. spectabile is not very common I think.

I did some research, and they [the one vender], has spectabile. You have a great idea thou, I think you can pre order, and they will make sure you get the ones you choose Oriental Smile.....you're coming home with me!
