I agree with Aussie. The flower head & leafing habit on the cane seem to be alba form of purpureum. Usually Den purpureum blooms on top portion of denuded canes, while leaves remain on newer canes. Yours may have retained leaves on blooming cane because you lack a winter chill to trigger leaf drop.

Den capituliflorum has much shorter & fatter canes, with only a few leaves near the upper third. Young leaves are green, but the older leaves would have purple undersides.
