I just received this beautiful plant at my orchid society holiday raffle. I only have a couple of dendrobiums and everything I read about them overwhelms me a little :/ Anyone out there have this hybrid? Any culture tips and tricks? Thanks

It's lovely!
This is a Den-phal type. They're generally not tricky at all. Fairly bright light (a sunny east or west facing window is good), intermediate to warm temps, water when media is close to dry

Awesome thank you What about any sort of winter rest? This is the part about dendrobiums that I'm really lost on. Or will this plant be more forgiving because it's a hybrid? Or not the right kind for a winter rest at all? I guess since it is in bloom in the winter I'm not sure what I should do with it now....When blooms fade?.....Then once new growth begins?... Thanks again!

This is one of the varieties that doesn't want a winter rest. Those blooms should last at least a month or two! (Theyare beautiful by the way)I have had them last 5 months. By that time you should be seeing new growth.
You can go to the Dendrobium forum and there is a sticky that explains the culture for Den phal....Jean

I've seen these types bloom practically the entire year when they get mature and full. Always a treat to see them.

I have a white NOID Den Phal / Bigibbum or whatever the correct name is these days, and it's one of my favorite orchids because it seems to bloom almost non-stop and the pure white flowers last forever. I also like it's vertical form. I think you'll like yo too, good luck.

Keep warm year around. Cool temperature will make them unhappy.
