Dendrobium junceum
I have had issues with keeping dendrobiums in the past, but I received this as a freebie from a vendor, as three tiny canes about a year ago. I was going to get rid of it, but I liked the leaves, so I decided to keep it to see if I could grow and bloom it. I'm happy with my choice, as I really like the plant and the flower is beautiful. I only got one flower this time, but I love the greenish hue. I hope the color stays green more then the yellow shades I've seen in pictures.

Its a lovely flower. Next blooming cycle you will get bigger, vivid colors and more flowers. This flower is fragrant, you must discover at what point of day or night it gives off its scent stronger. At first I thought it was a vandacious plant because of its terette leaves=but its surprisingly a Dendrobium. You must give it proper rest ....if you are watering this twice a week=after the flowers are gone you water it every 10 days.

Thanks for your kind words and tips, Bud. So far, I've smelled it in both the evening and morning and didn't detect a scent, but I will keep checking for it.

Wow, nice one. I wonder if the name was given to it because of the reed like leaves.

Thank you!! That's a great question about the name, I think you're probably right.
