I'm so excited. I purchased it in flower but I had not gotten it to bloom myself. I can't wait.

The spike is growing but slowly. I was hoping for more spikes since some canes have many active eyes (I'm not sure if eye is the correct term). I'm hoping some sunny days will bring more spikes.
Any advice to coax more spikes is appreciated.
[And yes that pic really does show the black spot this plant came with. I've been spraying and some leaves looked so bad I cut them out. I left some of the infected leaves because I didn't want to shock the plant.]

Enjoying the blooms on the one spike. I'm hoping that some spring sunny days might bring some more spikes.
