Dendrobium faciferum
So, as I always say, I will take "just one bloom" any time! This was gift from Kevin, I got it in summer, and did not even expect it to bloom any time soon, was actually getting it slowly ready for the winter rest, but last week I saw one tiny red dot, and got really excited, and it actually did open today:-) It is mounted on tree fern, full afternoon sun:-)

Yeah, for some reason the name faciferum reminds me world "luciferum", therefor something from the "hell", and the color is gorgeous red, like hell's fire:-)))))

Oh so pretty! Is this a miniature, or just a young plant? I have a hard time telling in photos.

I like the red-orange color and the form....it might give you more flowers so don't give up....after the flowers are gone then you may give it rest.

RandomGemini, this is a division I received from Kevin in summer. It is not big, but when I did google, they can grow pretty decent size, definitely not miniature, but the one I have is not huge yet:-) The bloom is definitely definitely small now, but if it will grow, than the blooms will get bigger also:-)
