Epidendrum and Dendrobium culture conditions

Still think of myself as a beginner eventhough I've been collecting orchids for years. Member of mass orchid society. I have several epidendrums and dendrobiums that I cannot get to rebloom. I suspect light or temp may be the problem as I grow them in my home in windows. No grow lights. Help!

you are dead on...light and heat....get a seedling mat to place them on in the winter, and find a solution to the lighting problem....I guess you will have to get some grow lights....others will be more experienced in these...good luck!

aside from light and temperature=you need to know if you got to give it proper rest....or else if you keep on watering it and feeding fertilizer all year round; then it will just keep on giving you keikis instead of blooms.... get to know the culture of your plant and then give it proper winter rest if it needs it....

What type of Dens, do you know? I have a few that bloom on windowsills ...

What direction do your windows face? How much sun do they get?

Epidendrums often like a pretty fair amount of light ...
