Kindra, I noticed that you are a newbie in a frenzy accumulating as many orchid plants as you can and I know you have the resuorces of bidding or buying it....just be adviced that you may want to look up the culture first of the plant and weigh inside your heart if you can really care for it in your environment then by all means buy it!

Well I do some. Then go by that lol. But I am finding that what info I can find is not where it needs to be. I also have a small green house now and this buying issues are usually my first buys. I got the light and the heat/cool. Its just finding the best spot for them. Because my house is old and was built at an odd angle...I also have been growing other plants for years since I was a kid. Gardenias, Hydrangeas, bleeding hearts etc...so I am enjoying this challenge since I have joined the ob I have not killed any plants. My other plants are seeming to enjoy the soak water from my orchids lol. My hibiscus and gardenia have bloomed like crazy.

So is this a Dend or an Epi? Either way it looks pretty dehydrated and both groups need very bright light to grow and bloom well.

Den. Sorry. It was very dehydrated. My fault I had killed chids by over watering and then under watered for fear of over watering again. It now is getting bright bright light again and kept wet but not soaking. It also has 3 new root growths. I have the correct potting media coming in for it and my other den.

Okay here is an update. It has 7-8 bud growths, my fresh dendrobium mix by better gro has come in. Rinsed and rinsed and rinsed for good 30 min and then allowed to soak continually in hot hot water for 3 hrs making sure it was good and wet/saturated. Still trucking away so fingers crossed it will continue thriving in its new place. There is also a new leaf starting!!
