How about that!
My red clone of D. cuthbertsonii. It really took off when I started using K-lite, increased the light with my rebuild of my orchidarium, and repotted it. It's actually nothing special as the species goes, but who's complaining.

Wow! That's gorgeous!! Wish I could grow these... I love the foliage. Great growing! That looks like a perfect, and beautiful specimen you got there! Have you gotten any awards on this guy?

Thanks, Mary Linn. The flowers on this one are average in size and it probably would not be awarded especially with the new 4N clones coming on the scene. The only award it might get eventually is a cultural award, but it would have to have a lot more flowers than this.

I grow mine in live sphagnum and water every day. Seems to like a lot of moisture, though it does have very good drainage, too.

The blooms remind me sort of a poppy bloom, especially the color does.

Steve, the reason why you're envious is the same reason why this is my favorite orchid.
