Thank you all for your input. I did go thru the list of species and marked what group it belonged to. I know the grower would like smilliieae. 2 that I put on a list were dichaeoides and aberrans. All the other plants mentions I will also list. For the Dendrobiums we have a couple $100 to spend. The conservatory has warm, intermediate and cool houses and a cooler for even cooler growing plants. There is a large Wardian Case in the Orchid room. We have an amt for each of the different tribes we are helping.

I'm an antelope fan so of course I'd suggest a fw of those lol. But actually, I'm thinking of ones that have had an impact on the cut flower/pot plant trade- it could be a mini-exhibit showing the progression and development of the industry to the major moneymaker it is today. Things like Den. biggibum/phalaenopsis, compactum and superbiens, then with a couple antelopes like gouldii and taurinum that seem to feature commonly, along with maybe canaliculatum in the development of modern novelty hybrids. Then some of the major players in hybrids, like Madame Pompadour, Jaqueline Thomas, Sonia... Showing the native enviroments of the species and how they're grown commercially could maybe help folk with their supermarket specials at home.
