I'm kind of head over heels for cuthbertsonii crosses right now. I can't provide the cool temps to grow D. cuthbertsonii itself, so opting for hybrids which (hopefully) take to my conditions. This one is a primary hybrid of Dendrobium cuthbertsonii and Dendrobium lawesii.

It's adorable! I also really like the cuthbertsoniis and would love to try them, but like you I will struggle to provide them with the right conditions.

Love this one. So. Incredibly. Cute!

Have you tried any of the tetraploid cuthbertsonii? I've found some of the recent line breeding has resulted in the plants being a little more adaptable. Its not easy feat to grow them in Sacramento, but I get by fine. I'm not able to flower them like Tom @Golden Gate Orchids, but given an adequate night/day differential and water with low TDS they do well.

'Lafayette' x 'Christopher John' or the reciprocal have yielded amazing results in flowers but also seems a little more resilient.

Den. Gina Perlite and Den. Aussie Hi-Lo are also great hybrids to look into.
