I just found the out of bloom Dendrobium pictures I took in Taiwan last November. I remember thinking that they must be beautiful when in bloom.
These plants were just hung on the wall in the entrance to an underground garage in Taipei.

I have this orchid and I also grow this in my garden here in southern california.
Our climate is a little colder and drying than Taiwan, so all it needs is watering and protection if the winter nights are too cold. (Sometimes 3-4 c or 40s F)
Here is a picture of mine in flower in May. Not as big and beautiful as yours though

I have the same too with greenish lip. But the pics I showed are the similar kind with pinkish tint and smaller flower. The canes tent to bend in every direction, yet yours goes straight downward and bloom about two weeks later than the pinkish one!
This one is another kind, a bit purplish~

You should be crown Dendrobium empress! That is a Dendrobium lindleyi, from the looks of it. I was told in Chinese 黃金石斛 not sure about accuracy. Not an easy plant to flower over here in US! People forget to let it rest and it won't flower unless there is a proper rest.
Yours, like the rest is show quality. You ever got any awards for it?
Here is mine in flower back in may. Pale in comparison.

WOW! It must be a real treat to step outside every morning! I would love to take a walk in your yard. The camphor tree is just stunning!

Yes, it is Den. lindleyi 黃金石斛(golden Den. in Chinese)!!!
Thanks, your compliment is the award!
Different stages of the blooming brings pale to deep yolk yellow. All stunning!
I give it full sun bathing all year round in our climate, water almost everyday in summer, but maybe every other day in really cold winter.
When the buds appear, I would keep them in the sunroom to keep away from birds and butterflies, the latter lay eggs and the growing worms eat the long sweet tender ends of the spikes...
These two boards are my pride!
Other Den. lindleyi blooms in late March here, but this in May with longer spikes up to 40 cm~
