Default NOID "Dancing flora" type and care?

Hi guys! I've wanted one of these for a long while and I finally saw one at a store. The tag says "Dancing flora" and there's even a web site which has the following info:
The Dancingflora is a member of one of the large Dendrobium families: Compactum. This orchid is a native of the Far East, specifically Australia, India, Indonesia, Southeast Asia, the Philippines and many islands in the Pacific.

Compactum Dancingflora takes its name from the numerous small flowers produced by the plant. Unique to this plant is that it produces many blossom stalks (called 'pseudobulbs') and can bloom throughout the year. This plant is compact in form.

Flowers all year round?! What about winter rest? I understand that there are some general "types" of Den. which have a different cycle, but I never found any reference to a "Compactum". The plant is in full bloom, but I notice some new growth started (I don't know if it's active, I just got the plant) and it also has a few bumps which may have been the beginning of other spikes? See attached. I hope someone of you had seen one of these and knows what to do with it... P.S. I've seen flower spikes like this one featured in bouquets

Lovely!

I imagine it's a hybrid of Den bigibbum v compactum;
Den-phal type which don't take a winter rest, tho can be slightly drier in winter. Some of these hybrids may bloom at various times. My bigibbum v. compactum however, is a fall bloomer.

Thank you all for the kind words! I've been reading up on phal. type Dendrobiums, although it is quite a mess in my head right now. I monitor my plants very closely, so when I notice whether the new shoot or spike buds are active, I will post some info. I took a look at the root system and it isn't very spectacular nor did I see any new tips, just mostly old roots going slightly soft. To avoid rotting them, I would water no more frequent than once a week, but mist the top, which goes driest, once or twice within that period. However, it's usually high humidity which triggers new root growth, so what should I do? Keep it on the moist or the dry side? When does the root growth cycle begin with these plants? I didn't imagine their growing habits being that different from, say, Oncidium, but I guess I was wrong (I can see that the canes, which have flowered now have flowered before, so there goes my theory )

Well, I only have a couple of these ... they've been growing during spring thru now - one looks to be finished growing and has tiny spike nubs on the newest canes. These can re-spike on older canes as well.

Water when media is nearly dry or dry. Don't allow media to remain dry for very long.

These are generally easy growers, so I wouldn't stress over it.

You are lucky, I have the same plant. Here is a picture of mine:
http://i40.tinypic.com/208ic5k.jpg

Its name is Dendrobium Sa-nook Blue Sensation. You can find it at the following website:
sa-nook.nl

It's a den-phal, very easy to grow. I keep it in my office, next to a south window (high light but no direct sun) and I water it whenever it dries.
It grows and blooms all year round. The older canes bloom again from lower nodes and then the new canes bloom from the top, so it's almost constantly in bloom.

Hmm... Yes my plant does seem identical to Violeta's but how would two different growers be selling the same hybrid? Anyway, none of the canes of my plant seem to be doing any growing (if anything, the new growth turned silver) so there's nothing to report at this time Thank you all for the replies.
