Dendrobium phal Thailand Black

It was in very bad condition last year. I almost threw it away. It did not respond on treatments with fungicides, but after bleach treatment was better. probably some bacteria.
Still not perfect but much better, now even flourished.

I'm curious what the bleach treatment is that you used, and what kind of symptoms your dendrobium suffered?

I tossed two very cute dendrobiums because of the recurring "ring" problems.

leaves and new growths have been turning soft and black and brown. First I cut off everything black and brown, repot and then soak it in 10% bleach solution few times.

Were the entire leaves changing color or spots??

The ones I tossed kept developing these small brown rings.

So the plant apparently survived the bleach solution. lol

2 canes I could not save as well as 2 small new growths.
Only this cane and one keiki on other cane are saved.

I think I had a similar thing happened to my dendrobium Cherry Dance I bought at a show last year.
It was growing a new cane last summer when one older cane that had just finished flowering started to turn brown. It looked like a rot but I have no idea what it was.
I was going to cut that cane off to see if I could save the newer cane.
well, I ended up not doing anything about it and the plant saved itself.
The rotting (or browning cane) only hit that older cane and stopped there leaving the newer cane untouched.
That new cane later bloomed for me and not it is growing another new cane. so far no return of the browning disease. keeping my fingers crossed that it never will as I like the plant. small and lots of flowers.
