Dendrobium loddigesii var. albescens
Compared with the tipo version, this one has smaller blooms.

Beautiful, Pheli! This is one of my favorite species and I love seeing uncommon variants of it.

It is a rare variety. The version is said to be found in Yunnan province in China. The plant itself is more elongated then the tipo one. But as i mentioned, it has smaller blooms.
Here is a link to a friend's plant. You can see the difference.
Den. loddigesii var. alba

Thank you Pheli, that's a very beautiful and interesting plant! I've looked at Wang's site and photographs a lot but not seen that one before.

It does tolerate low temperature. In where i am located, it is averagely 12-15c in winter, but while the cold front comes, it would be down to 7-8c for days.

Thanks Pheli that seems like winters in LA too. I flowered both Chrysotoxum & aggregatum successfully season.
Absolute low around 5c at night but days can warm up to 16-20 on average. Your loddigesii is so lovely.
Here are my Chrysotoxum and aggregatum x jenkensii hybrid

I think Den. loddigesii will do well in your place.
Chrysotoxum, loddigesii and aggregatum are native to mountaineous areas in south China.
Hence, they can tolerate low temperature in winter. Always keep them dry out while in cold days.
