Default Dendrobium Aussie's Chip

(aberrans x atroviolaceum)

Awesome "little" hybrid! (Petite in height, in a 4" pot, but about 12" across - Hard to keep it on my narrow windowsill)

I got this one 4 years ago - it's grown like a weed! Blooms reliably and well every year (late winter-spring). It only blooms once a year, but the flowers last around three months - and since they don't all open at the same time, this plant usually has blooms on it for at least four months.

This grows in a west facing window that gets some mid-afternoon sun, shaded later. Potted in a combination of perlite and pumice.

Thanks for looking

(the last photo is from March, '09 - when I first got it)

It sure does grow like a weed! I only rarely catch fragrance from this when I'm picking it up. Very subtle but pleasant.
