Den. kingianum in bloom
This the first time for me to have this in bloom. I got it in Oct of 2011 with keikis started on every mature growth so it didn't bloom last winter for me. This year it has 7 spikes and no keikis so I think its happy! I grew this fairly cool and dry right by the patio doors in the greenhouse all winter. Once I could tell it was buds and not keikis, I started giving it more water. I did water it a bit several times thru the winter prior to buds appearing but not much.

Lovely!
It definitely will only get better. Previously bloomed canes can re-bloom. Keikis left on the parent can bloom on the next bloom period after they first appeared.
