I have three D. anosmums. Two are the ordinary species, one is a hybrid called S&W's A Touch of Class.
I am keeping them dry up till now, a squirt of water once in a while. One of the species is starting to show signs of new growth along the canes. It is still the middle of winter here and I had supposed the plants needed to be kept dry for another month. But, what do I do with the one that is starting to show growth? I don't want to risk starting to water it too soon because I understand that is the way to get lots of keikis and I would rather have the plain 'ol blossoms . Meanwhile, the hybrid doesn't look as good as I would like. Should I begin to water it now? The third plant looks OK, IMHO. Thanks for any wisdom on this subject.

Wait until the growth is a couple of inches long and start watering. There is still a pretty good chance you'll get flowers.

Mine is doing strange things too. It still hasn't lost all of its leaves, there are two new growths and I have big buds anyplace where there aren't leaves.

Mine is in a 3" clay pot in sphag/tree fern so I give it baby sips of water and spray the roots on the outside of the pot, on sunny days.

I wish they would read the culture notes so they would know what we expect them to do.
