Thx and yes the color finally came through. It was a neat display and range of color. When the plant decides its done blooming, though, its really done! All the flowers just drop within a few days of one another. Lol

Very lovely! Is yours fragrant? I have one but after the hot, dry summer and repotting, I am not expecting blooms. :|

I remember it having a very light flowery fragrance. Just a slight sweetness to it but not discernible scent.

Some say it smells like honey. I mounted my lindleyi on cork and it is doing quite well. I've also noticed a few growths with 2 leaves instead of 1.

After I bought it, I did read that the smell was quite faint. As soon as I can untangle my stephanotis and passiflora from it, I am going to take a look at it and see if it is doing anything. That will probably be when the plants move outside.

By the way, thanks for showing the entire plant. I was a bit worried about the shriveled older growths and feel much more reassured.

This is mine from last year. We really tried to slow it down this year for the show. So far, I see only the start of the spikes. Once they start spiking, they need lots of water and the blooms come fast.

Nice plant! Hey regarding potting... Mine is in a very small pot for the size of plant and I'd like to repot it into something larger. Would it be crazy to just pot the whole thing, old pot included, into the new one? There is only rocks inside the pot its in now, so no rotting media to worry about. I'd like to repot it into an sh pot too.
Thoughts?

So you're thinking S/H? I've heard that just putting the whole pot and everything into a larger pot can be bad and a real pain to remove later. If you move it to S/H you need to clean everything off the roots. If I mis-understood your post, my apologies.

There is no organic media inside this plants pot so there's nothing to clean off. I want to plant the whole thing because it is so root bound and these plants sulk if their roots are disturbed. Does that make sense?
