Winter rest Status/Advice needed

So I've been resting my Den. anosmum, Den. aphyllum (culculatum), and Den. falconeri. From everything I've heard for the 3 of them it's hard abusive rest with no water and no fertilizer.

It's been a little over 2 months of that now and they all seem to still be holding on to greenery and I feel like that doesn't seem right? They've all lost at least half of their foliage but the Den. anosmum has some very small canes that didn't get very long this year and they don't seem to want to defoliate, and the aphyllum has a mix of short and long canes that are holding on to their leaves for quite a while.

It's my first winter with the 3 of them and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong and if I should be trying to bring them back to save them or something!

I don't grow these, but I think (and has been the case for my deciduous Dens) is that fully mature canes will shed foliage, but even then, not necessarily all foliage.

You are doing OK however, make sure that the stem/stalk is not shriveling or totally dehydrated. I would suggest misting twice a week in the morning. In the wild in Asian countries, the weather is like dry but not totally dry. Humidity is high without rain and the absent of rain will trigger the plant to loose leaves and initiates flowering. The night temperature is cool around 60-70 degrees F.
