My mounted dendrobium victoria-reginae dries out every day or so... I'm going on three day vacation. Any tips for what I should do?

Any one who can spritz it for you? Can you get a humidifier and set it near the mist outlet? Put it in a bucket filled with damp sphagnum- at least it wouldn't completely dry out while you're away, and a few days of constant damp won't hurt it.

I was thinking of bagging it. Maybe my neighbor could spritz it for me.

If you bag it, it might not get enough air circulation. I would get a neighbour to mist it. I actually brought a couple along on our vacation this year.

I take my mounts out of the light while I am gone to reduce their need for water. it seems to help.

Last time I went away for 2 weeks I bought a box of gallon size zip lock bags. For each mount, I wadded up a couple of soaking wet paper towels and put them at the bottom, I put in the mount, sprayed a few sprays of physan and put them in a low light corner out of direct sun. I left the bag about 25% open to allow for some air exchange. When I got back, they were all okay and still damp so they didn't dry out completely.
