I agree with you about that. Most days we can still get out to walk on the trails. In Ontario we were stuck inside more often.

My Masd. Andean Prince isn't a good bloomer and I don't have much chance of finding a den cuthbetrsonii.
Normally my vanda Pachong blue is in bloom for Christmas but it hasn't been the same since I burned it last spring.
Oh well, I'll soon have bloom. With more than 50 orchids, this seldom happens.

That's the advantage of having lots of orchids!!!!! Always something in bloom.

I can put up with the winter weather for the sake of the hiking, the mountains, and all the rest.

I agree. I love how green it is in the winter here.
We have a little snow right now but hopefully it will be gone soon.

We haven't had any yet and I like that. If I want snow I can go up in the mountains and have all I want and then leave it behind.

That's the way I like it. I love seeing it on the mountain tops. Most of the time our valley escapes it and the storms. It's already going away and there are still flowers blooming outside. I think I'll keep it and just get more lights [and orchids]

This was a species I had not seen before, so was especially happy to get a good photo of it.
