That is the one disadvantage of living in the Pacific Northwest, the long dreary winter days, but there's more than enough other benefits to make up for that and it'll soon be spring.
I agree with you about that. Most days we can still get out to walk on the trails. In Ontario we were stuck inside more often.
Should have added that its bloom season for many Masdevallias and Dend. cuthbertsonii, so we have plenty of color.
My Masd. Andean Prince isn't a good bloomer and I don't have much chance of finding a den cuthbetrsonii.
Normally my vanda Pachong blue is in bloom for Christmas but it hasn't been the same since I burned it last spring.
Oh well, I'll soon have bloom. With more than 50 orchids, this seldom happens.
That's the way I like it. I love seeing it on the mountain tops. Most of the time our valley escapes it and the storms. It's already going away and there are still flowers blooming outside. I think I'll keep it and just get more lights [and orchids]
