Dendrobium Spatulata hybrid NOID blue in bloom again
This is the second flowering this year after the first one in early summer.
Somehow, the flowers are not as numerous as last year when it had well over twenty flowers per spike.
It has nice purple/blue color and smells nice during the day.
The flowers open up small, then over the following week or two, the two petals elongate and twist a little bit, looking like what these two pictures show.
It is growing a new cane at the same time which is about two months earlier than normal. I guess it's the warmer and brighter apartment.
The exciting news is that this new cane is growing leaves that are larger than those on the previous cane.
so hopefully more flowers in the next season?
