Mine always bloom in the winter. I dont give them a rest per-se. I just move them indoors in my basement, so. I guess the temps are lower. I don't change the watering schedule though.

Same here. Mine blooms reliability and I just bring it indoors. No change to watering.

Oh wow!!! I bet the smell is intoxicating when they are all in bloom!!! I have one that has 11 spikes this year (though sadly half have blasted for some reason), but the smell of the remaining fills the kitchen and kitchenette!!! I can't imagine the wonderful smell from sooooo many!!!!

Mine is starting to bloom now. The fragrance is wonderful. I haven't counted the spikes as there are too many. I'm hoping to take it to my next society meeting for show & tell

My buds are just starting to slowly open. 7 spikes on a small pot full of keikis that were given to me last year so not too bad I guess. There aren't a lot of flowers on each spike tho. Does anyone know how long the blooms last? I'm hoping for long lasting.

Silken, blooms don't last very long, unfortunately - a couple weeks maybe.?
Calypso, these like some cool temps to bloom.

Thanks, good to know. I was hoping they would last till the orchid show later in Feb. but I guess not. Our society always has a display and I have very little to offer for it this year!
I kept mine pretty cool and dry and it bloomed on most of the canes.

It must be a great show when they all bloom at the same time
