How cold do you all let your unicum get? How dry as well? I've stopped watering, there are no leaves and I'm letting it dry completely until spring. I also want to throw it outside to get some chilly temps, but am not sure about its tolerance to cool temps.

I take it you want more info than OrchidWiz offers, since it looks like you have it. There is fairly good info on there on their winter temps and moisture if you haven't checked.

I can't access my OW because now I have a Mac!! I would check there, but I'm also curious about what temperatures people let their unicum receive and how long do they need cold temps to initiate budding.

I have a cross with some unicum but not the species. Here is what OW says: Winter days 79 to 85 and nights average 50 to 53. Rainfall is light from fall to spring but in the first part of the winter, there is heavy dew. In the last two months, weather is so dry there is rarely even dew. Cultivated plants should be allowed to dry slightly between watering but they shouldn't remain dry for long periods of time. In early spring water should be eliminated altogether. Light is highest in winter.
