A lot of credit goes to Central Florida's perfect den growing climate.

Gorgeous specimen!!! The growth of your canes looks so pristeen. I've got a question. How are you keeping them so neat? Are they tied?

June,
Ha! They are tied, wired and strung up. There are heavy duty steel braces, string etc. What ever it takes. I don't like then to get too unruly because they take up too much space.

Thank you. I have a few large dendrobiums that are getting out of control. I appreciate your response. These guys get massive and I understand what you mean by "Whatever it takes".

It is a wonderful flower display! What a glorious rebound after the myterious attack five years ago!

On a closer look, the growth does look so nice and pristine. lush green leaves with no ulgly stuff on them.

One of my dendrobium hybrids is sending up a new cane. I really have to watch out for the growth and make sure it goes up as straight as possible this time. The last growth grew to the side and it is just pain in the butt (taking up space wise) lol

Do you train them little by little as canes grow?
Once they mature, they are just too hard to do anything with, and I certainly don't want to break the canes off.

Wow, a beautiful display! You have inspired me. Ikea currently have some Dens for sale so next week I think a trip there is definitely on the cards.
