Ok, I guess that was just a hitch hiker then. Crawlers are usually not harmful to orchids. Webbing was most likely some kind of spiders that doesn't do any harm either, but eat other bugs on the plant.
Most large scale nurseris use systemic spray to keep problems down, but I'm surprised your plants came with bugs. maybe it was grown organic
