I've had this Dendrobium for about 10 years. I know it had a name when I got it but that spike is long gone. All I have left is half of a spike that says miniature Dendrobium. I like to think it's a Dendrobium bigibbum but really I don't know.

This is the Dendrobium that won't die. It was planted in a kind of sandy soil when I bought it. It's been accidentally turned over many times. But it has bloomed reliably every year. This year I thought I had finally killed it. When I started getting the other orchids this past year, I started paying more attention to it, so it spent the winter a lot wetter than normal. Then I repotted it in bark which sent it sulking for several months. Now it has lots of new canes coming up, two flower spikes, and two keikis. There aren't as many flowers this year but I'm hoping next year will be better than ever.

Thanks! It's my favorite, mostly because I've had it so long and it just keeps on going. I can't believe I had it potted wrong all of those years because I didn't know any better. It seems very happy now though.
