Gorgeous Jenny!

I have a Stardust 'Chyomi' which is yellow, but it only had a couple of flowers last year, and none so far this year.

Do you keep it in standard house temps? You said a south window above, and watering once a week. What medium do you have it in?

I have three keikis from mine so I might have to experiment with different environments. The keikis are in S/H and I recently put the parent in Lecca (but not S/H) because I was scared to water much and thought it might help me water more often. Not sure if that has worked or not.

Hi Rosie, this one is currently in a really heavy medium (almost like earth!) I got it from Burnham and, when I asked about it they said it should be fine so long as I don't overwater. That's one reason I have it in the south room as it's a lot warmer than the others (in hopes the medium dries out better) and a lot brighter. At the moment, due to the awful summer so far, I've only been watering once every two weeks. However, since it has the keiki and I need to repot some phals this year, I suspect I'm going to take it out if the heavy and move it to bark after the flowers drop (maybe with some of my finer pleione mix to keep it slightly damper - don't want it to go into shock!).

Thanks Jenny. I got mine from Burnham but can't remember what it was originally potted in now.

I think I need to up the watering for the lecca, I think that is my problem as I've been very light on the water for the last six months with everything (lack of time).
